The royal albatross is the largest sea bird in the world.
It can grow up to 1.35 metres from its bill to it's tail. When albatross spread their wings the span can be up to 3 metres or more. The albatross can weigh up to 7.5 kilograms.
A membrane is like another eyelid. They use the membrane when in a storm so they don't get water in their eyes.
When a male albatross meets a female albatross it does a dance. After the meeting, the female lays eggs. The eggs are laid in November and hatch in January.
